Noble Crossing's success depends not only on our wonderful staff and students, but also on the support from our NCE families. We realize each of our families is unique - with its own priorities, needs, talents, and time constraints - so we provide many kinds of volunteer opportunities for parent/guardian involvement. It takes a lot of volunteers to plan and execute events in a school our size. If you’ve never volunteered before, we’d love to have you jump in and start. If you’ve volunteered with us in the past, thank you! We hope you’ll continue being an active part of our PTO.
Please review the open Chairperson descriptions listed below. We also have more volunteer committee positions listed on our Sign Up Genius. Please use the following link to Sign Up Genius to join a committee or contact us more details on how you can help.
Chairperson Volunteer Opportunities:
Family Picnic Chairperson - a free after school event that will hopefully take place in mid- late-August where families can come have a picnic on school grounds with games, food trucks, and maybe even an outdoor movie. Planning will be done mainly from your home in July and August, but you would need to be available to attend the event.
Lantern Walk Chairperson - a free evening event that will take place one night in mid-December through late-January. This is an event that will be planned with our school Library Media Specialist, Taryn Hassler. You would work with her to choose a theme, advertise the event, help create a story walk, plan a lantern making craft, organize food trucks, and organize student participation through other staff in the form of dramatizations and singing. Planning will be done during November, December, and January mainly at home with a few potential in-person meetings with Taryn. You would also need to be at the actual event.
Decorations Chairperson - this is a position for a crafty person who can make some time to be available in the school. There are a lot of fun events that take place in and around the school that are hosted by PTO. We love to make these events festive with decorations whenever possible. You would run a team of committee members throughout the school year who would be available for decorating inside the school (mainly during the school day) for various events like Tiger Trek, Book Fair, Back to School time, End of School, etc. look great for students and staff.
Some additional events still in early planning stages that will need chairs as they are added to the calendar include: STEAM Night (March) Literacy Night (November) Family Game Night GRAND Event
These are just a few of the open positions that we currently have. You would be assigned a board member who will help answer any questions you have while planning your event. We will also be forming committees of volunteers to help with these and other events like hospitality, carnival, tiger trek, book fair, and more. (look for a sign up genius link soon!)
All volunteers in Noblesville Schools, including volunteers for most PTO daytime events, are required to complete a Level 3 background check prior to volunteering. Please use the following link to complete your background check.
